ANY NEW TEAMS WISHING TO JOIN THE MEN'S SUPERLEAGUE SHOULD DO SO AT THE EARLIEST OPPORTUNITY BY CONTACTING JOHNNY STEFANO who is acting Men's League Organiser or MARILYN SMITHIES who is acting General Secretary - The Cut Off Date for this is Monday 20th July - NO NEW TEAMS WILL BE CONSIDERED AFTER THIS DATE unless under extreme circumstances - So far we have applications from teams in Farnborough, Welling and Eltham. Others will be added HERE when they are received.

Full Details of the AGM's have been sent out to ALL Team Managers and County Players via e-mail or post. The AGM's are strictly for voting purposes and not debates, Any New proposals for each AGM will be sent to Team Managers 14 days before the respective AGM's and it is the responsibility of all team managers to ensure that all proposals are discussed with their own team members prior to the respective AGM's, with this we expect that Team Managers can come to the AGM's armed with their own teams overall consensus on any new proposals and a voting process can then take place, discussions about new proposals can take place between interested parties and the proposer of that proposal within the 14 days leading up to the AGM.

Mandy Solomons and Gary Noonan will be the Singles representatives for London in The BDO Gold Cup to be held at Frimley Green on 11th July, both will also play in the Pairs Finals with their respective partners, Pat Rogers and Robbie Hain.


On the way to winning the Ladies Pairs against Lynne Biondini and Kerry Simmons 3-1 in the final, Mandy and Pat also beat Sue Holt & Kelly Bobby in the 1st round and Wendy Church & Tammy MacKenzie in the Semi-Final by the same 3-1 scoreline.
The Final of the Ladies Singles was contested by Mandy and Tammy MacKenzie, In a close game Mandy emerged victorious by winning 3-2, on the way to the final Mandy beat Lynne Biondini 3-1 in the 1st round, then pairs partner Pat Rogers 3-0 in the Quarter-Final before beating Kerry Simmons 3-0 in the Semis.
Congratulations! Mandy and Pat you will do both yourselves and London proud.
The two best left handers in London teamed up to take the pairs final against Paul Rafferty and Steve McHale by winning the final 4-1, Gary Noonan and the mercurial Robbie Hain dominated the pairs with wins over Gary Holt & Wayne Livett 4-0, Ian Dawson & Henry Murphy 4-3 in the Quarter-Finals and Nicky Turner & Wayne Brown 4-1 in the Semi-Finals.
Gary then went on to come through some very tough games by playing some superb stuff all day, starting off with a 4-0 victory over London Youth player Anthony Bain in the 1st round, he then beat John Nelson, who finished top of the averages in the London Superleague in a tough game but came out on top 3-2, beating his pairs partner Robbie Hain 3-0 in the last 16, then London County player Rob Edwards 3-2 in another close game in the Quarter-Final before taking on Paul Rafferty in the Semi-Finals, in yet another nail-biter he again was pushed all the way before winning 3-2. Gary had certailny earned his final place the hard way, and waiting for him was Chris 'Chaos' Copeland who had come through the field by beating Steve McHale 3-1, London Youth's Harry Bailey 3-1, Nicky Turner 3-2 and Paul Wright 3-0. Gary won the Final 3-1 over Chaos.
Well done lads! the Lakeside won't know what's hit them, go and give it large boys!

The Greater London Darts Organisation would like to extend it's deepest condolences to the Family of George Noble Senior who passed away after a long illness on Saturday 2nd May 2009.
George was involved with London Darts for many years as an Official, a great character and a lifelong supporter of darts, he will be sadly missed by all those that knew him.
Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time!

Woolwich have won the GLDO Men's Superleague for the third time running, losing only two games in the final few weeks threatened to test their dominance but they held firm in the final week with a resounding 8-1 victory over 6th placed West Ham, Clapham have finished the season as runners up with Harlesden consigned to third place. Woolwich are based at the Lord Raglan Public House in Burrage Road, Plumstead (see picture)
In the Silver group Barking took the title 6 points ahead of rivals Hackney and Peckham.
The Bronze Group was won by Wandsworth after a final game with Erith to decide the champions, Wandsworth won that final game 5-4 to leave Erith with runners up spot, Vauxhall took third spot.
Congratulations must go to John Nelson of the Barkingpool side for finishing top of the averages table winning 23 out of 26 games and finishing with a dynamic average of 49.09, Other mentions must go to Steve Dolan of Harlesden for finishing top of the Tons Table with an incredible 229 tons, Steve Maish of Woolwich finished with the most scores of 171+ with 17 and the highest finish of 170 was taken by Jerome Hughes of Barkingpool. ___________________________________________________________________________
Wayne Brown of the Woolwich Superleague Side has just won the Essex Open Singles Title after beating James Evans of Suffolk 4-1 in the Final, it ends a great run of form from Wayne who has been close on so many occasions in recent months in taking a title his darts have deserved. London Superleague player Tricia Wright of Harlesden has won the Scottish Open Ladies Singles Title by defeating Karen Lawman 4-0 in the Final with a 27.83 average.
Tricia also reached the Final of the Pairs with Norfolks Dawn Standley where they were beaten by Internationals Irina Armstrong and Francisca Hoenselaar.
Congratulations Tricia, superb display from a superb player.

It is with great regret to announce that Mick Coonan the former London Chairman passed away on Friday 13th February 2009.
He passed away in the West Middlesex Hospital. The funeral will be held on Tuesday 24th February 2009 at 4.00pm at Mortlake Crematorium, people will be meeting at the Six Bells Public House at 3.15pm.
Mick was London Chairman for over 27 years and has been involved with London County and of course the BDO, he will be sadly missed by Officials and Players. Our condolences are with his family and his wife Joyce. ____________________________________________________________
